We live in unprecedented times. Nations rise against nations, there are war and rumours of war  pandemics and experimental vaccines. Babylon is falling and international black repatriation still remains an unachieved goal. In all of the apparent chaos, the I-niversal Development of Ras Tafari (IDOR) has assembled Ras Tafari from all over the world to study the teachings of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I.

In December of 2008 IDOR established the *HIM Emperor Haile Selassie I, Study group* at the world famous Sankofa Book Store in Washington DC. The result was a lasting unity built between all mansions of Ras Tafari in the region. For nearly a decade the study group was the principle instrument along with the IDOR's Life and Livity (a book of H.I.M speech excerpts) of carrying out IDOR's mission to spread and advance the teachings and example of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie 1st.

With the rise of Covid and the cessation of all public gatherings, IDOR seized the opportunity to take the study group global through the use of digital technology. The Study group now meets bi-weekly and has attendees from 4 continents, including Africa, and the Caribbean. During the Study sessions attendees read, study and discuss the Selected Speeches of *H.I.M Emperor Haile Selassie I from 1918 - 1967. The study session started at the first speech in the book and participants will read through the entire book over the coming months. Participants also review and discuss contemporary African Affairs. Articles featuring Ras Tafari on the continent are of particular interest.

IDOR encourages all to study the teachings and life examples of Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen Asfaw. InI also salute the contribution of the many Ras Tafari who gather for fellowship in the word of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I.
